This is a work from the Mirmehdi Workshop, known for its deep navy ground and classical vase motifs among Qom silk carpets. A golden footed vase (called "gordaan" in Persian) is placed at the bottom center, with chain-like decorations on both sides, from which roses, chrysanthemums, dahlias, and small pink flowers rise. This rug elegantly encapsulates the classical Persian vase motif on a deep navy ground, giving it a distinguished finish.

The Intricacy and Luster Unique to Silk

Because it is made of 100% fine silk threads, you can discern the thin gold lines of the vase, the overlapping petals, the veins of the leaves, and even the feathers of the hidden small birds.
