When hung on a wall, a deep indigo medallion emerges from a delicate lilac ground, creating a scene like wisteria blooming in the pre-dawn sky. Above and below the fringe are hidden images of small animals (elephants and tigers) arranged in rows. It's a tranquil piece where more discoveries are made the closer you look.

This exceptional piece, dyed with 100% Qum silk using the vegetable dyeing technique preserved only by the Mohammad Jamshidi House, deeply impressed our representative. We have selected it for our "Hard-to-Acquire Masterpieces Collection" due to the extreme difficulty of obtaining the same quality again. It features a delicate yet beautiful lilac (pale purple) field, a color difficult to achieve with chemical dyes, with a deep indigo medallion centered and a golden sun emblem inside. This piece combines the classical Lachak o Toranj (corner & medallion) composition with the tranquil colors unique to vegetable dyes.

The Precision and Luster of Silk and Vegetable Dyes

Because it's woven with 100% silk and vegetable dyes into a dense fabric, you can discern the fine gold lines of the medallion, the intricate flowers in the four corners, the continuous floral patterns of the border, and even the small animals hidden at the edge of the fringe. Depending on the angle of the light, the lilac透けます, the indigo deepens, and expressions like blooming wisteria flowers appear. The colors of vegetable dyes, woven over long months, become even more subdued with the passage of time.
