The Miraculous Colors of Mohammad Jamshidi's Main Line (Botanical Dye Geography)

This special piece, made of 100% Qum silk, was dyed using botanical dyes, a technique maintained exclusively by the main line of Mohammad Jamshidi. Our representative was captivated by it and selected it for our "Hard-to-Reacquire Masterpieces Collection" because it is extremely difficult to find another of the same quality. Colors extracted from natural materials such as pomegranate peel, walnut shells, madder root, and indigo gently permeate deep into each fiber of the silk, creating a transparency and depth that seem to glow from within. As the title "Geography" suggests, waves of color overlapping like contour lines across the carpet depict unknown lands and paradise.

The Intricacy and Sheen of Silk and Botanical Dyes

Because it is woven tightly with 100% silk and botanical dyes, each color gradation appears without any muddiness. The colors seem to breathe and change with the angle of light, and one's eyes don't tire even after long contemplation—a unique characteristic of botanical dyes not found in chemical dyes. The aging process is also beautiful; over time, the colors settle in, developing a profound sheen.
