Description

Panels of格子 in red, yellow, navy, and green are arranged neatly, with small motifs of flowers, cypress trees, and livestock woven into each section. Despite the multiple colors, the design is not cluttered, creating a composition like a single painting.

Bakhtiari Heshti (Garden Pattern)

This is a rug from the Bakhtiari tribe, who live a semi-nomadic life in the Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province in the central-west. The "heshti" style, where different pictures are drawn into格子 panels, is their representative design and is also known as the "garden pattern" in Japan.

100% Wool, the Presence of Handwoven Craftsmanship

The pile is wool. With approximately 320,000 knots per square meter, the outlines of even the smallest motifs in each section are clearly visible. The unevenness of the knots, characteristic of handweaving, creates a warm texture not found in machine-made rugs.

Placement in Your Home

The size is 130 x 213 cm, suitable for a living room of about 1.7 tatami mats. It can be used as a center rug in front of a three-seater sofa, under a dining table, or as a bedside rug in the bedroom. Since it is multi-colored, it is easy to match with any furniture color.
