This is a hand-woven wool rug with a traditional medallion composition, born from the nomadic way of life. Centered around a medallion, plant and livestock motifs are scattered around it, creating a striking contrast with the background color.

This medallion composition has been woven in the authentic eastern Khorasan region. It combines rustic geometric patterns influenced by Caucasian designs with the intricate details characteristic of Khorasan.

The pile is 100% wool. With approximately 320,000 knots per square meter, the pattern's outlines are clearly defined. The inherent variations in knotting, unique to hand-weaving, create a depth and warmth not found in machine-woven rugs.
